RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Under supervision of Dr. Allen Apblett Current
• Investigating new analytical techniques for detection of cyanide in water and waste water samples using Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy and Infared Spectroscopy and determining possibility of using cyanide metal complexes to enhance signal and allow the analysis to be done on the sample with no need for distillation as in current EPA methods.
• Looking at possible conversion of cyanide into ammonia and carbon dioxide utilizing molybdenum and tungsten bronzes.
